Peak Hour Public Transport

I spent one of the best Sundays 2 days ago...

Met up with Dear on 502... we had tickets for "
Swing Girls "( "and A Boy" actually; there was a guy in the band, playing the piano...) at Cathay, which was abt the only place in SG showing it... and it sure was COOL!!! I had not seen WAterboys before, but I think this is a very nice nice show!!! =) Probably cos I have never really learnt to play Big Band well... storyline was predictable, but direction was marvellous! And the cast too! Sekiguchi, the lead trombonist, had a HUGE solo in the end that I grew so GREEN WITH ENVY... After that, Dear and I went back to NUS to mug; suffered under the wrath of the AS1 mosquitoes, and Dear had countless bites that I was too appalled to describe... Caught the NKF show and What Women Want simultaneously; Quan Yifeng's stunt and Jack Neo's performance were simply breath-taking and nerve-wrecking at the same time... BUT, the papers made a huge hoo-hah out of SM's wife throwing her mobile to be caught by this Something-Lee singer using a tennis racquet; saying something like "risked her handphone" blah blah blah... tsk tsk, wrong focus editors (you listening)?

SYF started on Monday; Congrats to WWSS and WRSS for clinching Silver; quite a few bands got Gold and Gold/Honours, results are found here, and here too. Hope Quest can get a good result too; Junisia is still not very confident, and Ziyong as well... met Dear at Clementi after her paper and went to JP... had some yucky wanton noodles, but we discovered something: the MEOW shop has landed in JP!!!! Next to Lai Lai Kitchen and Popular!!! Dear was so mesmerised by the stuff in there, she's gonna declare that JP will replace WM as her Fav hangout =)

Today was not too bad... except for the trip back home. Waited so long for 06 and then 99... on 99, I was standing near the tail end of the single decker bus (why does SBS schedule single-deck 99 buses during peak hours and double-deck ones on off-peak hours? hard ot fathom!) and at the last row there were 3 ppl; one whose hand occupied a space that could sit another person, one who supposedly went into Zzzzzz mode, and an OA (Office Auntie, as opposed ot Office Lady [OL]) who was reading her evening tabloid. None moved an inch even when the bus was full; apprently they were immune to cold stares even. Ok nvm, so i alighted near Parc Oasis to change 157 cos i dun wanna get caught in the rain at the bus stop at BL; the standing crowd clustered near the front and middle of the bus, even when the back had cleared... in the end, i just barged my way to the back for a seat; there wasnt a teeny weeny tinge of remorse or guilt as i hit one standing passenger after another.... who cares?! UP till now, there's still a big bitter aftertaste in my mouth... That's a BIG reason why SGeans still wanna have and are obsessed their own cars, that they completely forgotten how to go public...

Signing off....... Time to start work again......
