I.T. (Af)Fair

Posting before I start work...

Met Dear at YIH after her work was done; end of Week 1 for her and 5 more weeks to go before ITP ends... Had Genki for lunch and headed for the NUS Open House. Seems like this weekend is Varsity Open House Weekend. Saw Lionel doing his duty at the tentage as part of the organising team; we got ourselves the big water proof bag to put all the phamplets + Flyers + goodies stuff. Never knew that NUS had a lion as its mascot lol... Went around Level 2 to look at the booths by the various Depts and Facs. Got further goodies in the form of water bottles, pens, multi-purpose cutter and note pads. Skipped the talks in the various halls, though we did walk one round in MPSH 5 for the booths by the clubs and societies. We were made to walk up and round the upper deck where spectators normally sit, and due to the high steps, Dear fell down awkwardly once and hurt her knee. Luckily it wasn't very serious though. Saw Boo with his exhibitor lanyard walking outside the hall and said hi. After that, we decided to skip KB class today (again!) and headed for the I.T. fair @ Suntec...

The crowds were madness! Ok, this time round there wasn't any jam around popular booths like Apple, but it was still quite crowded. We walked around Level 4 for awhile and spent the rest of the time at Level 6 looking at computer peripherals. Dear got herself a new DVD writer; prices had dropped so much, 90% since it was first introduced some years ago. Also got some CD-Rs and DVD-RWs, a new web-cam and a bluetooth headset which was cool cool. Almost bought a 10 megapixel video recorder going for $200, but decided to save the money up instead. Made our way out of the crowds and headed for Carl's Jnr for dinner. Had a very full dinner even though we shared a meal... Can still smell dinner as I'm burping while typing this entry. Headed straight home after that and showered before making my way back to my present location - where else?

Signing off........... enjoyment despite the crowds and the tired limbs...........
