Bone Thugs N Harmony

It felt kind of odd to be at AS5 on a Saturday, after such a long while.

Finally churned out a first draft of the presentation. What little remained of the weekend, I decided I should do something out of the blue.

Movies, I have them already.

What else......

COOK!

I haven't had J-Curry for quite some time - decided to see if its too difficult to prepare. Headed down to NTUC and bought a pack of those ready-made J-Curry mix, some potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, and lean pork. Seems pretty idiotproof - there's a set of instructions on the back of the J-Curry for the novice like me to follow.

Preparation was unusually smooth, but even then, it would be past 9pm before the meal is ready, partly because I only got home at around 730pm. First things first, cook the rice, then the chopping and cutting.

Clockwise from Left: Pork cubes (turned out that I'd bought too little of them), Mixture of Cauliflower, Carrots & Potatoes, Onions & Garlic, J-Curry Premix.

Leave the Veggies in boiling water for a couple of minutes.

Stir-fry Onions, Garlic, Pork Cubes in the frying pan, then add the Veggies back in. Add in water (best to add in slightly less than what is recommended), cover wok, bring water to a boil.

Add in J-Curry Premix, stir and simmer until the Premix had dissolved totally.

Keep stirring, till the right consistency of a typical J-Curry is observed.

Dinner! Rice itself turned out ok as well, consistency of the J-Curry was ok, Veggies were not too tough, just that there wasn't enough Pork Cubes. Machiam like vegetarian curry haha. Glad the kitchen's in one piece.

And with the J-Curry, I sat through the first half of Pan's Labyrinth, which was a pretty interesting movie, two plots intwined into one, of fantasy and reality, of fairies and demons, of good and evil.

Ugly does Cooking - this time, getting the hang of it!

Signing off............. We R Thugs.........
