I had resolved last nite that I shall be more stringent with myself and embark on more exercises. Checked out the opening times for the SRC swimming pool; alas, when I reach SRC, only then did I realise that its being used for some canoeing activity. Turned back to the bus stop and ended up swimming in Clementi, and half of the time it was raining! (!@#$%^ that the sun only came out after I had finished my swim!!!) Didnt end up tanned, but I guess it was quite a workout; maybe I shall try more freestyle laps (but its so demanding! After i did my only 2 laps, I was panting between my legs!!!) ... After the swim, I popped by to the indoor hall next door to catch some West Zone Basketball action (I believe its C Boys.)...
(a) RVHS vs CTSS: Final score 29-8 in favour of RV - CT seems over-rawed by the occasion, its most outstanding player being No. 14; RV, though dominating the match, didn't make their shots count, perhaps hence the low scoring affair.

(b) JYSS vs AES: Final score 52-39 in favour of JY - Score seems to reflect a closer fight for this match, but from the occasional glimpses that I caught, JYSS players seem to make good use of their superior size, speed and fitness over their AES counterparts; about 3 out of 5 times that i happened to glance over to the other court, JYSS scored through fast breaks and looping balls over AES. AES, to their credit, played a much closer game at the end with nice perimeter shooting and offensive rebounding to bring some cheers to their travelling supporters.

After the matches had ended, I left with a tinge of regret that I didnt stick with B-Ball after that first session back in Sec 1; I think there were like 50-60 Sec 1s alone during the first practice... which made me so disillusioned about the chances that I would probably break into the school team. That aside, I do miss playing B-Ball, esp during Pri School days, where I would play ball after tuition with my tuition mates, till late evenings, only to go home and face the almighty CANE... Those were, indeed, the days... =)
Btw, I took some nice photos of the sunrise (ok not much of the sunrise, but rather the clouds, sky and such) when I woke up for a dump-pee at 6+ am this morning...

Various shots from my bedroom window...

And one portrait view...
Round-up: (Keep forgetting to blog about this... now i remember!) I understand the need for gals to wear cardigans - to cover up while wearing spaghetti strap tops, as well as to complement the tops; to protect themselves from the cold; to cover those "$1 and 50-cent marks" on the arms, as well as that BCG scar; all in all, for practicality... but...
Why the rage for cardigans that: seem to have shrunked, or where the manufacturer(s) seems to have forgotten to sew on the bottom part of the cardigan, or seem to fit better or toddlers/infants/young things rather than ladies in their 20s and 30s? IMHO, I think normal cardigans work just as fine, if not better; the pre-shrunk ones may work against those with unflattering mid-sections. And I, for one, won't wear pre-shrunked ones; my tummy needs to be protected against adverse and sudden changes in temperatures, or else....
Perhaps, the men really don't (and can't) get it....
Signing off.............. Looking for Real Run kakis.........
