Weekend 24, 2005

Yes, the end of weekend 24 of 2005 is just a little more than an hour away. The annual Father's Day dinner had just ended, though I think mum was still cleaning up the floor and stuff. Had steamboat and grill, which was not bad, despite having to wake up at 8am to go fetch mum from the market in Jurong West. I was supposed to go help out my aunt to shift some stuff from her just-sold CCK flat to her Clementi house, but my dad said I wasnt really needed. So I had more time to rest at home in the day; caught the TV serial version of I Not Stupid, and was moved to tears by the male child's lead. I think everyone in the living room watching the show shed some tears...

Yesterday was Dear's friend, Jennifer's birthday. As a form of celebration, we decided to check out Eski Bar, the new (I presume?) outlet at Boat Quay.

Actually, only the front portion of the outlet was FREEZING COLD; they even had a huge block of ice as their bar service table!!!! Further inside the bar, it was just normal air-conditioning. Had a Screwdriver, while Dear ordered a Strawberry Margarita. We shared another beer as well, and as usual, I turned red pretty quickly. After staying for close to 2 hours inside (my fingers were feeling painful at the joints) where the temp fluctuates between 1 to 5 degree celsius, we left for satay at Lau Pa Sat, then walked back towards Esplanade. I sent Dear home from there before going home... overall, it was a pretty nice place, with nice service, but the space over there is quite tight... a lot of ppl went in only to leave when they realised that the place was full house...
