Muse muse muse...

The weekend zoomed by so quickly... Had a very full zi char dinner on Sunday with Dear at 216 (CCK - Keat Hong); saw some of the workers' familiar faces and familiar memories of the old KH camp. On Saturday, Dear was so sweet to prepare lunch; we had steamboat + grill, with yummy prawn dumplings, bacon(!!!!) and chicken meat. However, the best item was.... the chocolate fondue!!! Dear's first attempt at making choc fondue was good wor! Plus the fresh strawberries and marshmellows... BAGUS! There was enough choc for 4-5 ppl, but the two of us finished it all up for lunch and dinner... SO SINFUL!!!!

2 Gender lectures in 3 days proved to be a bit too much, especially when I'm still trying to grapple with understanding the part on Feminist Theory. For someone who gets lost in confusion easily, it ain't a breeze trying to come to terms with theoretical stuff and their explanations... and on top of that, I'm ranking low in participation, with no posts in the DF (as acronym-ed in Prof. Chng's slides) and not being as vocal as some of the intellectual Lit students. Sometimes, there's just this out-of-depth feeling whenever the lecture progressed into a 3-/4-way exchange. Nonetheless, there's always something to take away from each session, something that pushes the self towards a better understanding of the other half of the human species, and perhaps better things for humanity! (hah!) But it's nice to be aware of and thus prevent committing the dangers of indulging in patriarchy and its privileges that is bestowed upon the more dominant sex; nice not to mean paying lip service, but to be brought into consciousness what had resided in the unconsciousness, or had been assumed that it was au naturale, de facto, to be reflective of the ideological biases that are routinised in everyday life.

While reading Bloglines just now, this post by Cowboy Caleb intrigued me; there IS a word for some behaviour that someone was trying to describe during Sat's make-up class! A Postmodern-sexual, or PoMosexual. Strange though, that it isn't s word recognised by Dictionary.com; speaking of which, I have included some Dictionary.com stuff at the side tool bar...

GEK1500 test is coming on Wed; the new stock of the text better arrive soon (soon = later), or else I'm gonna go nuts photocopying Chapters 1-3 again....

Signing off............. Abandon the Narcissistic Self...............
